Public Notice by Maryland Pork Producers Association and National Pork Board
Chester, Maryland (Friday, June 7, 2024) – The Maryland Pork Producers Association will hold their annual Board Meeting on Wednesday, July 10th starting at 6:00 PM. The meeting will take place at Mamma Mia Italian Bistro in Centreville, MD. Anyone who raises pork in the state of Maryland will be able to join our meeting as it is open to the public. Please contact our office if you are interested in attending. Our agenda will be available upon request. A few topics of discussion will include the 2024 Online Show Pig sale and grant deliverables.
The election of the pork producer delegate candidates for the 2025 Pork Producers (Pork Act) Delegate Body will take place during the board meeting. All Maryland pork producers are invited to attend. Any producers, age 18 or older, who are a resident of the state and has paid all assessments due may be considered as a delegate candidate and/or participate in the election. All eligible producers are encouraged to bring with them a sales receipt proving that hogs were sold in their name and the checkoff deducted.
